Last of the Summer Sunshine?

It's late September and there's plenty evidence
that autumn has now arrived on
Greenstead Slopes and in Ghost Woods...

A Wildlife Haven...

Despite it being a cloudy and humid day
I took a walk around Greenstead Slopes
to see what flora and fauna I could find.

As you can see, the tall grasses
are a haven for wildlife
no matter what the weather.

Volunteers Needed...

Dear KTGC Supporters,

Hopefully you can see that our volunteers are doing a great job keeping the greens clear of litter and dog fouling and also looking after Ghost Wood.

However, we’re just looking for a couple of volunteers who live near the Harwich Road entrance to the field by the children’s play area, who would be happy to keep Porters Brook clear of litter to enable the water to flow freely.

This particular section of the brook is just down the steps from the bus stop on the left. Our volunteers are happy to blitz the area and get on top of the situation but the project just needs help from one or two people who pass by this spot on a regular daily/weekly basis.

If you can help please email keepthegreenclean@gmail.com and someone will get back to you.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Buttercups & Daisies...

The slopes are looking wonderful
with all of the
buttercups and daisies
at the moment.

The cherry trees are also in bloom.

A big THANK YOU
to the lovely family
who planted the tulips!
